Our History

House of Praise International Church (HOPIC) is a non-denominational church, called ordained and anointed by Jehovah God. The ministry was founded by Pastor Harlan Stilwell in 1981 and underwent a name change in 1998 (formerly the Temple of Jesus).  Ever since God’s call to the ministry per His Divine direction, we have proclaimed the truth of God’s word and the absolute necessity of having it as the foundation of our lives, through every possible media, In all our teaching and preaching, in live meetings, virtual meetings, the printed word and through social media, our goal is to declare His unconditional Love, and the power of prayer through faith in His word.

Upon Pastor Harlan’s passing in August of 2019, this work was handed over to Pastor Linda to continue this divine call and ministry. Hence it has continued and remains strong in faith even through the Pandemic this ministry has prevailed.

Our worship is contemporary in style, God-exalting in content, and anointed by the Holy Spirit. We are an end-time ministry established to declare the soon coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our mission is to enable committed Christians and their families to fulfill the plan of God for their lives while teaching the need to lead the unsaved to experience the love and saving grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

HOPIC provides a place anointed by Almighty for edification, exhortation, and comfort for all believers in Christ Jesus, regardless of race or nationality. God’s glorious presence is present in every gathering to provide a spiritual understanding of the Word and promote spiritual growth.
